Black Friday Shopping Disasters - Black Friday is a tradition that takes families away from the Turkey to wait untold hours in line for discounted holiday gifts. Total spending on Black Friday weekend in 2012 was $59.1 billion, according to the National Retail Federation. Unfortunately, instead of leaving with new merchandise, some customers have left with injuries and others have lost their life. Customer Pulls Out Gun at Sears in Texas - Things became violent quickly at a Sears in San Antonio, Texas, when a man reportedly argued with customers and punched one in the face to get to the front of a checkout line. Alleged Shoplifter Dies in Georgia Walmart - An alleged shoplifter died in a Lithonia, Georgia, Walmart in 2012 after the store’s security guard and two employees subdued him. Police believe the security guard placed the man in a choke hold after catching him leaving the store carrying two DVD players. Police placed him in handcuffs not realizing he was unresponsive.
