Brandy, Featuring Chris Brown – 'Put It Down' - Brown came through with the assist on R&B veteran Brandy's comeback "Put It Down" in 2012. Not needing Brown's help on the vocal end, Chris came through demolishing the mic with his rapping skills, spitting, "I'm sipping on that brandy/ That liquor comes in handy/ And girl I know you fancy/ But this party I'm financing."(Photo: RCA Records)
9. 'I Wanna Be Down' (1994) - Brandy’s first single off her self-titled debut was enough to have us hooked. Co-written and produced by Keith Crouch (who would go on to write for Maxwell, Toni Braxton and Tamia), the track was a sweet ode to innocence. The video is a classic that features Kangol hats and singing into rotary phones. We miss the '90s. Also shout out to the remix, which featured Queen Latifah, Yo-Yo and MC Lyte.(Photo: Atlantic Records) 8. 'Almost Doesn’t Count' (1999) - Around the spring of 1999, promotion for her Brandy’s second album, Never Say Never, was starting to wind down. Still, at the time her made-for-TV movie with Diana Ross, Double Platinum heavily featured this smooth post-break-up single.(Photo: Atlantic Records)

Our Favorite Brandy Singles - With the release of Brandy’s debut album in 1994 the world was introduced to beautifully bright-eyed 15-year-old singer. With her husky and melodic voice, Brandy released hit albums and singles alongside her starring role on the TV show Moesha. Brandy’s work on her TV show might have made us forget that her first passion was her recorded music. As we prepare for her small screen return with Zoe Ever After, let’s go down memory lane and revisit Brandy’s 10 best singles. —Jon Reyes(Photo: John Sciulli/Getty Images for NAACP Image Awards)
