When Producers Beef - Just because producers don't normally take to the mic doesn't mean they can't clash just as much as their rapping counterparts. Earlier this week, Bangladesh made headlines when he dissed fellow beatmaker Swizz Beatz. “I don’t think Swizz is relevant,” Bangladesh told XXL. “I’m keeping it 100...I think there’s a difference between relevance and musical relevance. You married a lady that’s poppin’ [Alicia Keys], you know it’ll give you a lot of relevance, but you gotta make hits. Ain’t no hits." Sound like fighting words to us. But Bangladesh is just the latest producer to verbally beat on competitors like drum pads on an MPC. Bangladesh vs. Da Internz - Bangaldesh's Swizz diss isn't the first time he's ruffled feathers by calling out his beatmaking brethren. Bang accused production duo Da Internz of copycatting his style in an interview last month, mentioning two songs they produced but not their name. "I wouldn't even say they name. I don't think people know they name. I don't wanna like, put 'em on blast. ...[Rihanna's] 'Birthday Cake' is definitely my style...Big Sean's ['Dance (A$)'], same producers. I think we're getting somewhere with this," said Bangladesh. "They stealing my swag. I'm dripping it everywhere. They pick it up after I do it." Scott Storch vs. Timbaland - Hitmakers Scott Storch and Timbaland traded diss tracks back in 2007, with Tim sending subliminal shots on "Piano Man," and Storch responding by jumping on the mic to record "Built Like That." The beef reportedly started over Storch claiming he wasn't properly credited for his role in the creation of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River." Quincy Jones vs. Diddy - Legendary producer Quincy Jones had a laugh at Diddy's expense when he spoke to the crowd as special guest at a Spotify event last June. "He couldn't recognize a B-flat if it hit him," Jones reportedly said. (Photos from left: Jerod Harris/Getty Images for Acura, Marcel Thomas/FilmMagic)

Jermaine Dupri vs. Dr. Dre and Timbaland - J.D. landed in hot water when he made the following boast in a 2001 issue of XXL. "Hands down, ain't nobody in the industry that can do what I do," Dupri said. "Not Dre, not Timbaland, not nobody." Dre didn't take the slight lightly, responding with several hilarious shots on an Eminem B-side, "What You Say." "When I see you I'ma step on you/And not even know it, you midget," Dre raps. "Over 80 million records sold/And I ain't have to do it with 10- or 11-year-olds." (Photos from left: Scott Kirkland/PictureGroup, John Ricard / BET, Candice Lawler)
