20 Years Later: A Look Back at Key Players in O.J. Simpson Trial

The murder trial was one of the most publicized in history.

Marcia Clark - Special trials prosecutor Marcia Clark had won 19 of her 20 murder trials before taking on Simpson's case. But when the jury acquitted Simpson, it was her last day in the role she was passionate about. The highly publicized case landed her in the pages of the National Enquirer, attention she did not expect. She has since written several non-fiction novels.  (Photo: POO/AFP/Getty Images)
Johnnie Cochran - Johnnie Cochran led the defense, a.k.a. "dream" team, for Simpson's infamous trial. During the case, Simpson was told to try on bloody gloves that police say were found near his home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Cochran famously said, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." He led a defense team that included Robert Shapiro, Alan Dershowtiz, Robert Kardashian, Gerald Uelmen and Carl E. Douglas. Cochran died in March 2005. (Photo: Lee Celano/WireImage)
Robert Kardashian - Robert Kardashian was a friend of Simpson before he joined his defense team. It was his house that Simpson visited after the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Lyle Goldman. He was also seen reportedly carrying a bag out of Simpson's home the day after their murders, that to this day, many don't know the contents. Kardashian died in September 2003. He was also criticized for racist remarks made in interview recordings of an interview he did prior to the case. Recently, he was seen on Fox News making racially insensitive remarks about uprisings in Baltimore. (Photo: Ron Galella, Ltd./WireImage)
