In-State Rivalry: The Philadelphia Edition - Where's the beef? Right now, it's in Philly. Meek Mill and Cassidy are going at it after a since-discredited rumor that the two were going to battle face to face. Cass released a diss track, "The Diary of a Hustla," yesterday, and Meek has been going at his rival nonstop on Twitter. But this is old news for the inappropriately named City of Brotherly Love — the local rap scene is known for its amped-up, sometimes violent conflicts. Read on for a rundown of Philly's internal beefs over the years. —Alex Gale(Photos from left: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images, John Ricard / BET)

Tone Trump vs. Gillie Da Kid - Major Figgas frontman, former Cash Money signee and self-proclaimed "King of Philly" Gillie Da Kid, accused Tone Trump, who's affiliated with Young Jeezy's CTE World, of "stealing my swagger" in one of his signature YouTube rants in 2009. Tone downplayed the comments in his own video response, saying he isn't "focused on negativity." (Photos from left: CTE World, Figgas 4 Life Entertainment)

Gillie Da Kid vs. Dirty Rik - The conflict between Gillie — get used to hearing his name here — and Dirty Rik took a disturbing turn. Rik, who used to be down with Gillie's Major Figgas crew, started dissing Gillie in online freestyles and videos, accusing him of shady business practices. But Gillie responded in epic fashion with his own YouTube clips, digging into Rik's records and alleging he'd been accused of domestic assault and pedophilia. He even interviewed a woman who accused Rik of molesting her daughter. (Photos from left: Gillie da Kid/Facebook, Courtesy of Dirty RiK)

Tommy "Butta" Hill vs. Beanie Sigel - Tommy "Butta" Hill, an underground vet who used to roll with the RAM Squad, made some noise last year for calling Beanie Sigel a "rat" and taunting him in diss tracks and online videos. Unfortunately, Hill ended up making more headlines for all the wrong reasons: He was shot and killed by masked assailants in December. Beans was never linked to the crime; some reports suggest that Hill himself may have been a federal informant with enemies in high places. Tommy "Butta" Hill vs. Oschino - Tommy "Butta" Hill also sent stray shots toward Beanie's State Property crew during his WorldStarHipHop rants. The two faced off over the phone during an interview with a Philly radio station, with O accusing Hill of being a snitch and claiming his father is homosexual.   (Photos from left: Oschino/Myspace, Courtesy of Tommy Hill)

Philly's Most Wanted vs. Cassidy - Boo-Bonic of Philly's Most Wanted, who made coke rap with The Neptunes before the Clipse — check their 2001 hit "Cross the Border" — lit up Cassidy in an interview with HipHopDX in 2007. "He not who he say he is," Boo said, implying that Cassidy "picked up" his style from PMW. (Photos from left: Courtesy of Roy Zipstein/Atlantic Records, John Ricard / BET)

Gillie Da Kid vs. Beanie Sigel - You probably saw this one coming: Beanie Sigel didn't take too kindly to Gillie calling himself the "King of Philly." The two traded words online and on the air, and even traded fisticuffs in person. But in 2008, the pair squashed their beef onstage at the Brotherly Love Concert, intended to promote peace and unity in Philly's troubled streets. Cassidy vs. Gillie Da Kid - Cassidy got his drawers in a bunch over Gillie's kingly claims as well, questioning them in a video posted to YouTube in 2008. Gillie responded with his own tough-talking videos, naturally. The two squashed the war of words at a concert in Philly later that year, but a video posted online in 2011 showed Gillie once again talking smack. (Photos from left: Andrew H. Cassidy vs. Cal Akbar - Cal Akbar used to be down with Larsiny Family crew, but the two had a falling out and exchanged diss tracks in 2008. "I got plenty punchlines so I can't wait, for mentioning my mom I'ma punch you in ya damn face," Cassidy rapped on "Dear Rodney," which calls out Akbar by his government.

Meek Mill vs. Reed Dollaz - Before he started riding shotgun in Rick Ross' Maybach, Meek Mill was trading barbs on-wax and on video with Reed Dollaz, a battle vet who once appeared on 106 & Park's Freestyle Fridays. It seems the beef died down after Meek spent months behind bars in 2008 and 2009 for a gun charge.(Photos from left: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images For BET, Reed Dollaz/Facebook)

Neef Buck vs. Young Chris - Even after they left Roc-A-Fella Records and saw their careers stall, Young Gunz, a.k.a. Young Chris and Neef Buck, never broke up. But that hasn't stopped the two from sending subliminal disses at each other on their recent solo material. Still, Chris insisted in an interview with BET that the two are planning a reunion album.   (Photos from left: Roc-A-Fella Records, wikicommons)
