Obamas Host Annual Easter Egg Roll - The Obamas welcomed 30,000 visitors from around the nation to the White House for the annual East Egg Roll Monday. The event has been a tradition since 1878, and this year an unprecedented 200,000 people requested entrance in an online lottery. The first lady used the event to promote her Let’s Move initiative. “I’m a big proponent of getting up and going, making sure we’re moving and eating healthy. And this Easter Egg Roll reflects all of that, so while you’re here, in addition to listening to some great music and dancing a little bit, you can roll your eggs,” she told an excited crowd. Email Blasts University’s Black Male Presence - An anonymous email sent to students at Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis complained that there were too many Black men featured in the school’s publication materials. “These banners are not a fair representation of the school,” the message said. “We should support diversity, not just African-American males … It is a shame that the only place many groups see representation at the law school is with their reflection in the bathroom mirrors.” The note went on to allege that the school’s career center, which it claims is led by Black women, caters more to Black students than students of other races. The Game Held Up in Canada - Rapper the Game was detained at the Canadian border during his “Red Nation” tour Wednesday for allegedly violating the nation’s immigrant entry laws. "Custom officials just denied me entry into Canada. I'm sorry 2 all my fans but I was mislead by promoters & assured I would be able to enter," Game tweeted. The rapper’s criminal past wasn’t a factor in his detainment, Canadian promoters, said, but rather his current gang affiliations. While it was originally reported that he could spend up to two weeks in detainment, the Game made a surprise appearance with fellow rapper Lil Wayne during an Anaheim, California, concert on Friday.
