Invest in Good Products and Accessories - Now, no one is saying pay $20 for a bottle of shampoo, but investing your money in a quality deep conditioner, flat iron, blow dryer, hair steamer and other accessories really can make a huge difference in the health of your hair. So splurge a little! (Photo: Greg Vote/Tetra Images/Corbis)

Be Easy With The Heat - When you are relaxed or natural and have a blowout, it’s hard to put down that flat iron for touch ups. This year, try reducing the amount of heat you use by a third. If that’s not possible, turn the heat down a notch, step up your deep condition, protein treatment and heat protectant game to shield your hair from damage. (Photo: 68/George Doyle/Ocean/Corbis)

Sleep With a Scarf - While this is the easiest resolution, it’s the hardest to follow. Sleeping with a silk scarf can keep your 'do longer, protect your hair from matting and breakage and make your hair more manageable for the next day. Try putting your scarf next to your bed, so all you have to do is tie that baby on before you hit the sack. (Photo: Rachel Frank/Corbis)

Step That Deep Condition Game Way Up - With everything you put your hair through: Brushing, dying, flat ironing, blow drying and twisting, to name a few, your tresses deserve a deep condition every week to repair any damage and get some much needed moisture. Think of it as pampering your hair like your body with a massage. (Photo: Stockbyte/Getty Images)
