Jackson State Fires Football Coach - First Grambling dumped its head coach and now rival Jackson State University announced the firing of head football coach Rick Comegy on Dec. 18. FAMU Music Department Supports Anti-Hazing - Forty members from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University’s chamber ensembles and the “Marching 100” band performed at Miller Grove High School’s anti-hazing workshop. Former Senator Wants to Be FAMU President - With the Jan. 8 deadline approaching for FAMU to name its new president, former Florida state senator and FAMU alum Al Lawson announced on Dec. 20 that he will apply for the position.
