Ben Jealous - In two landmark decisions on Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), extending federal benefits to same-sex couples legally married in their states. The justices also rejected an appeal for California's Proposition 8, thus allowing same-sex marriages to resume in that state.
