BET Music Matters SXSW Showcase 2012: Exclusive Portraits

Check out who we bumped into backstage in Austin.

Justin Timberlake, "Cry Me a River" - Timbaland and Justin's first hit together, "Cry Me a River," sparked a dispute with Scott Storch, who was credited with co-writing the song but claims he co-produced it as well. While we don't know what really happened in the studio when this 2002 classic came together, it's pretty easy to hear who's vision came out on top — the beat-boxing, jerky percussion and winking vocal sound effects are classic Timbo. Timbaland - Though he initially voiced his displeasure with Chris Brown’s Aaliyah collaboration "They Don’t Know," Timbaland used Twitter to clarify his feelings: "i want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations. i actually like the song wit him n Aaliyah, its just when you are talking about babygirl its a very sensitive subject with me. so the people who not only worked with her but grew a bond so tight we are like family so im very over protective over her. I have mad luv 4 my dude @chrisbrown." (Photo: Candice Lawler/BET)
