Hip-Hop and Chess - RZA and Adisa Banjoko, founder of The Hip-Hop Chess Federation (HHCF), have teamed up to launch a chess and martial arts program in St. Louis in an effort to promote non-violence. The pair went to the World Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis during #FergusonOctober, and spoke to four public schools over the course of a week, about the power of hip hop, chess, and nonviolence, and to remind the youth that they are powerful and they matter. They also screened Living Like Kings, a documentary on chess and urban youth, executive produced by Banjoko. "It was a pleasure for me to join the HHCF, the WCHOF and Demetrius Johnson in St. Louis to help spread the cultures of hip hop chess and martial arts.
