Slay - It took her 67 years, but the imitable Grace Jones is finally preparing to release her autobiography, I’ll Never Write My Memoirs. In the days before it’s September 24 release, Jones released a few choice excerpts that quickly made her a trending Twitter topic. Revel in the shade: “Trends come along and people say, ‘Follow that trend’. There’s a lot of that around at the moment: ‘Be like Sasha Fierce. Be like Miley Cyrus. Be like Rihanna. Be like Lady Gaga. Be like Rita Ora and Sia. Be like Madonna.’ I cannot be like them — except to the extent that they are already being like me.” Welp. May we all be this fierce and fearless at 67 years young.
