Say Her Name - Like the song that put her name on the map, Tiara Thomas is "bad." At just 24, the singer and songwriter has already had a Top 40 hit and a major label deal with record producer Rico Love's Division 1 imprint under Interscope-Geffen. And this is only the beginning. Once her debut LP, Sallie Mae, drops, Tiara will be trending on Twitter for a second time. (Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET)

The Evolution - When we first fell in love with Tiara, she was rocking a cute cut. Today, she’s switching up style. “I wanted to cut my hair ever since college,” says the Indiana native. My mom said I had to wait until college to cut it all off and I kept it that way until after I signed my deal. Then I just got tired of short hair.” (Photos from left: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET, Lloyd Bishop/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)

Mane Man - Hairstylist Anthony Cherry, who has worked with celebs like Ciara, Brandy, Angela Bassett and Kelly Rowland, says he wasn't behind the decision for Tiara to transition from short to long. "But I knew I could execute a longer, edgy style by giving her a beach wave with straight ends versus curling the hair to the tips." (Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET)

Make Her Over - To achieve Tiara's hang-loose hairstyle, Cherry recommends sectioning already straightened locks into eight parts and braiding each part to the ends. Keep the braids in overnight or for a couple of hours for a less crinkly style, and then undo and finger style. According to Cherry, the resulting look is "dope with no curling iron!" Bang Bang! - “You can get a lot of edge with a swoop bang,” says Cherry. “I just love when a bang covers a girl’s eye just a tad. It adds sex appeal and mystique, like ‘who's that?’ or ‘what is she hiding?’ And when Tiara’s performing, her waves just bounce while that bang will force her to throw it to get it out of her face and believe it or not, it looks hot." Stage Style - Fashion stylist Wouri Vice says, "Tiara wants her style to express that she is fearless, beautiful and strong! And in finding a perfect performance look, two things are key: comfort and sex appeal." (Photo: Kevin Winter/BET/Getty Images for BET)

Statement Pieces - “I like collecting pieces. Dresses, for example, are something that I can never have enough of because there’s always an event or party that I may need a dress for. But when I’m performing it’s all about jackets. You can never go wrong with a fitted leather jacket. I had this one with white leather and gold zippers sitting in my closet for three months and I was so hyped to wear it that when I finally did, I forgot to remove all of the tags and went out on stage like that!” (Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET)

Cool Girls Rule - Tiara says she’s never been one to “jock anybody else’s style.” “I look to Asia and Europe for inspiration and searching blogs and sites like Polyvore, where I can see lots of variation on one item. You can find every white T-shirt made from Comme de Garçon to Forever 21.” The little cutie chewing on Tiara's socks is her puppy, Penelope. (Photo: Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET)

Sock It to Me - “Even when I have my toes painted, I’ll throw on a pair of cool socks to go along with how I’m feeling that day. This company Odd Socks just sent me a bunch with diamonds, flowers and my favorite four-letter word.” (Photo by Rachel Murray/Getty Images for BET)
