Hurricane Sandy - Hurricane Sandy made landfall outside Atlantic City, New Jersey, the night of Oct. 29, lashing the Eastern Seaboard with torrential rain and causing blizzard conditions in six states. The Hottest Year Ever - “July was the warmest month of any month in the 1,400+ months of the U.S. data record, going back to 1895.
