A Bold Statement - Foregoing her usual method of cut-paper silhouette, Kara Walker has successfully stunned the artworld with her latest exhibition, "A Subtlety." On display at the Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg Brooklyn and commissioned by NYC-based public arts organization Creative Time, the show, consisting of sculptures made only of sugar, is one sweet treat. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, is on view from May 10 through July 8. (Photo: @icreatenergy)

Sugar Baby - Walker's artist statement for the show is simple yet powerful. It reads: "An homage to the unpaid and overworked Artisans who have refined our Sweet tastes from the cane fileds to the Kitchens of the New World..." (Photo: @icreatenergy)
