Too $hort - Too $hort shook airport authorities last week when he jetted after forgetting a loaded handgun in his carry-on luggage. He returned the next day, passing the baton to his lawyer to smooth things out. But him fleeing the scene was one of the most epic runs from the police we've read about. Short Dog has a history of bolting from the police, as he tried to dash from the police after he heard them blow the whistle in March 2013 during a DUI traffic stop. And he's not the only one. As Short ends his latest run from the police, take a look at other music artists who've been on the lam. — Michael Harris (@IceBlueVA)(Photo: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

Webbie - Webbie went on the run in September 2008 when he lost police during a dangerous high speed chase in Hattiesburg, Miss. The Louisiana rapper crashed his Dodge Charger into a Mercury Cougar, forcing the police to stop and help the passengers while he got away. Webbie’s car was later found at his favorite store, Walmart, where witnesses say they saw him being picked up by some friends in a Crown Victoria. The car was later found and Webbie was charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence, one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana, which was found in his Challenger, and one felony charge of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. Joe Budden - Joe Budden's a different case. The police were on the hunt for him in August after he was accused of assaulting and robbing his ex-girlfriend in Washington Heights. Joe wasn’t really dodging anyone, however. He was at home in New Jersey chilling with his dogs and tweeting his whereabouts.(Photo: Courtesy of Law Enforcement)

Treach - Naughty by Nature’s Treach was pulled over in April after cops clocked him doing 55 mph in a 25 mph zone in Union City, N.J. The veteran MC apparently had a few warrants and hit the gas as he drove nine blocks, pulled over and then charged the police car as officers drew their guns and demanded he get back in his Cadillac Escalade. He was charged with reckless driving and speeding and posted a bond of $15 thousand. He had to clear up a few child support payments as well before being released. Lyfe Jennings - Lyfe Jennings wilded out in October 2008 after a domestic dispute with his kids’ mother and fired off a gun before peeling off and leading police on a high speed chase in his Corvette in Smyrna, Ga. The chase ended after Lyfe crashed his car and was hit with a list of charges that included attempting to elude police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, criminal trespass, discharging a firearm near a public highway and DUI-refusal. He was sentenced to two years in prison in 2010. (Photo: Mike Windle/Getty Images for BET)
