Best NBA Trios of All-Time

Can LeBron James find success with his new Big Three?

Cleveland Cavaliers Acquire Kevin Love Via Blockbuster Trade - This past weekend, the Cleveland Cavaliers finally pulled off their long-reported trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers to land All-Star power forward Kevin Love. With the acquisition, the Cavs instantly sport one of the NBA's best trios in LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Love. Yes, it'll take time to find chemistry, but when they do...watch out. On paper, James, Irving and Love can be one of the best trios the game has ever seen and if they play their cards right they can wind up with championship rings like most of the following Big Threes.(Photos from left: Doug Pensinger/Getty Images, Andy Lyons/Getty Images, Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)
Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett - The 2007 offseason acquisitions of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett resulted in the best turnarnound in NBA history and a league championship for Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics in 2008. The Celtics improved by 42 victories that season before dusting off Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in six games during the 2008 NBA Finals. Pierce, Allen and Garnett kept the Celtics in contention for the next several seasons, although they were never able to be crowned as champions again. (Photo: Christian Petersen/Getty Images)
Miami's Big Three Meet - Just as they did in 2010 before all signing with the Miami Heat, the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh met to collectively discuss their future on Wednesday, ESPN is reporting. James opted out of the final two years and $42 million of his Heat contract on Tuesday. Wade and Bosh will have until midnight on Monday to decide whether or not they will follow suit. ESPN is also reporting that the Heat want to make an aggressive attempt to move up in Thursday’s NBA Draft to select UConn’s point guard Shabazz Napier. James tweeted during the NCAA title game, which Napier’s Huskies won, in April: "No way u take a PG in the lottery before Napier." Landing Napier would entince King James to return to Miami, the Heat organization is hoping. (Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - The "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s were nothing short of thrilling, live theater brought to Tinsletown, and their main pieces consisted of the trio of Magic Johnson, James Worthy and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. With Johnson leading the fast break, the scoring prowess of "Big Game James" and Kareem's trademark skyhook...the Lakers were truly a must-see show every time they took the court. With five NBA championships to their names, one can see why this trio was arguably the greatest in league history. (Photo: Elsa/Getty Images)
