Flights of Flotus: Michelle Obama in Motion, Sept. 12

Obama wows convention crowd; honors Sept. 11 victims.

Michelle Obama - The Kardashian family must have been feeling a little less patriotic when the First Lady said in an interview that her husband, the President, doesn't like when their daughters watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians. President Obama also verbally attacked Kim more recently, stating that she promotes materialistic lifestyles and that the family's reality show launchpad "helped create a generation of youngesters who are obsessed with wealth and celebrity."  It's safe to say that the Kardashians won't be getting an invite to the White House anytime soon.  (Photo: Scott Olson/Getty Images)

How Michelle Obama Spent Her Week - First Lady Michelle Obama wowed the Democratic masses at the party’s national convention in Charlotte during a major speech that was part valentine to her husband and part her case for his re-election. Throughout the event she left women, young and old, Black and white, both awestruck and inspired. But the party’s over, so to speak, and the first lady is back at work performing solemn duties, promoting Let’s Move! and preparing to go back on the campaign trail. —Joyce Jones (Photo: Scott Olson/Getty Images)

Paying Her Respects - Obama joined the president in tributes to the victims and survivors of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. One took place on the South Lawn of the White House with hundreds of staffers; the second was at the Pentagon. Later, the couple visited the Arlington Cemetery graves of military personnel killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. (Photo: Olivier Douliery-Pool/Getty Images)

Dressed to Impress - FLOTUS fans loved the dress she wore on the first night of the Democratic National Convention almost as much as they admired her speech. Designer Tracy Reese will soon offer the custom-made frock at high-end retail stores for less than $500.   (Photo: Alex Wong/Getty Images)

Do You Know What Today Is? - Obama's ideal 20th anniversary celebration would retrace the couple's honeymoon road trip through California. Instead, they'll be in Denver for the first of the presidential debates. "I’ll give him a kiss after the debates and [say], ‘Happy Anniversary,’" she told Access Hollywood.  (Photo: Chris Kleponis-Pool/Getty Images)

She Had His Back - The first lady won the hearts of the Democratic Party when she delivered a valentine to her husband in a highly praised speech to make the case for his re-election. “After so many struggles and triumphs and moments that have tested my husband in ways I never could have imagined, I have seen firsthand that being president doesn’t change who you are — it reveals who you are,” she said.
