Williams and one of his daughters, Janey, were detained by police earlier in the week for a disturbance but no charges were filed.

A Second Chance - Ted Williams, the homeless man with a “golden voice” became an instant YouTube sensation earlier this week after a videographer for The Columbus Dispatch captured video of his deep, clear voice as he was panhandling on the streets of Ohio. Since then, the job offers – from announcing for the Cleveland Cavaliers to doing voiceovers for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese – have come pouring in. “It’s just outrageous how this has all come to be," he said.

Vick to Start in Pro Bowl - Following his magnificent comeback season, it was announced this week that Philadelphia Eagles’ QB Michael Vick will start for the NFC in the Pro Bowl on Jan. 30 in Honolulu. Vick, who returned to the league in 2009 after missing two seasons serving a sentence for dogfighting, was voted in by fellow players, coaches and fans. He’ll face off against the AFC’s starter and rival MVP candidate Tom Brady.

The list of those up for awards includes rapper Nicki Minaj for Outstanding New Artist and Kanye West, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Cee Lo and Usher are all nominated in the Outstanding Male Artist category. Tyler Perry also had a strong showing, with his sitcom “House of Payne” nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and his movies “For Colored Girls” and “Why Did I Get Married Too?” both nominated for Outstanding Motion Picture.

Teen Allegedly Breaks into Tyler Perry’s House - Early Thursday morning, a bodyguard for Tyler Perry caught a teen allegedly trespassing at the filmmaker’s Atlanta home. Two others fled the scene. Police arrested 18-year-old Chloe Ware and charged her with prowling and criminal trespassing before releasing her.

Obama Praises Eagles, Vick - During a phone call to the team’s owner, President Obama praised the Philadelphia Eagles for allowing Michael Vick a second chance in the NFL following his sentence in prison for dogfighting charges. “So many people who serve time never get a fair second chance,” the president reportedly told owner Jeffrey Lurie. In a statement released Monday, the White House said the president condemns Vick’s crimes, but believes those who’ve paid their debt should be allowed “to contribute to society again.”
