The Meek Shall Inherit The Award - That’s right, after taking pretty big L’s in 2015 for his rap battle with Drake, Meek Mill reigned supreme last night (May 22) at the Billboard Music Awards in the Top Rap Album category. The Philly rapper beat out some fan favorites. But listen, it’s time for Meek to shine, and shining with Dreams Worth More Than Money is right on the money since it went beyond having great singles. Those b-sides were fire too. Even these 2015 releases couldn’t beat the Meek. – Jon Reyes(Photos from left: Grant Lamos IV/Getty Images, Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for iHeartRadio / Turner, Sam Santos/Getty Images for GQ)

Drake, 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' - Let’s not forget this isn’t a proper Drake album and though “Energy” is fire, one hot single does not a hot album make.(Photo: Young Money)

Drake and Future, 'What a Time to Be Alive' - Yeah, sorry guys, a collaborative mixtape isn’t really an album. “Jumpman” may be one of the hottest of 2015, but an album is longer than one track.(Photo: A1 / Cash Money / Epic / OVO Sound / Freebandz / Republic / Young Money)

Rae Sremmurd, 'SremmLife' - Five-singles deep is great and all, but the album cuts didn’t hold a candle to the rest.(Photo: EarDrummers Interscope)

Lupe Fiasco, 'Tetsuo and Youth' - A return to form for Lupe, after years of wavering outside of it, didn’t really drive it all the way home.(Photo: Atlantic Records)

Action Bronson, 'Mr. Wonderful' - More cuts like “Terry” would have been fire.(Photo: Atlantic Records, Vice Records)

Fetty Wap, 'Fetty Wap' - Yes, we know this contained some of the hottest singles of 2015. Still, a safe album might not stand the test of time.(Photo: RGF)

Mac Miller, 'GO:OD AM' - With a maturer side of the rapper showing out, this would have fared better as a mixtape and allowed him to play with his newfound style a bit more.(Photo: Warner Bros Records)

Migos, 'Yung Rich Nation' - This was more of a celebration for the Atlanta crew than a way to push something new onto the world.(Photo: 300 Quality Control Atlantic)

Future, 'DS2' - A codeine-laced album might not be for everyone. Plus we can totally do without the “I just took a pi** and I seen codeine coming out” lyric. No dice on this one. (Photo: A1, Freebandz, Epic Records)
