He’s Multi-Disciplined - Russell’s skilled in both football and baseball. He played baseball in high school and was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2007 MLB Draft but turned it down to attend North Carolina State University (where he played football). He also spent some time in minor league baseball before transferring to the University of Wisconsin, where he was a breakout quarterback during the 2011 season, leading his team to a Rose Bowl appearance.
