"Get to Know Someone New" - We saw Jamal give us a little taste of his speech when Blanche Taylor confronted him in front of his constituents. But it's definitely time for Blanche to move aside and let some new blood enter the political ring, like these fresh political faces. (Photo: BET)

Cory Booker - from saving people from fires to cleaning up a once looked down upon neighborhood, Senator Cory Booker is what the next wave of politicians look like, tweets and all. As he embarks on his most recent journey as a senator, we look forward to him running toward and not running away from big problems and huge fires.(Photo: Kris Connor/Getty Images)

Ras Baraka - Politics is in this man's blood! Son of poet/activist Amiri Baraka, he's following in the same political footsteps as Cory Booker by running for mayor of Newark, NJ, in 2014. Baraka defines what it means to be a next generation political leader, having run his first campaign for mayor at the age of 24 after returning from Howard University.(Photo: Ras Baraka via Instagram)

Hakeem Jeffries - This Brooklyn native definitely understands why Brooklyn goes hard! Winning the eighth Congressional seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2012, Jeffries introduced The Superstorm Sandy Mortgage Relief Act of 2013 in the state of New York. Last summer, Jeffries held a dozen “Congress on Your Corner” meetups, where he stood outside of libraries, post offices and neighborhood institutions talking to residents and answering questions. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. - Jesse L. Jackson Jr. trailed the political moves of his dad, Rev. Jesse Jackson, by becoming a United States House Representative for the 2nd Congressional District of Illinois. Most recently, though, Jackson Jr. was convicted of misusing federal funds for personal purchases and he had to step down. While we believe he has made a small pit stop, we do not believe it's the end of this leader's political career.(Photo: Scott J.
