10 Things We Learned From Kanye West's Interview With The Breakfast Club

Yeezus talks Amber Rose, Drake, Farrakhan and more.

Blood On The Leaves - Kanye West is known to take a stance and speak out on social issues and injustices but has been silent recently regarding the murders of Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown. When asked why he hadn’t been as vocal as in the past, he said, “My dad emailed me and told me to stay out of it. And my dad is a thousand times more smarter and social than me. That’s my only parent and I have to listen to him sometime. He was just trying to be protective of his son. I can’t run in front of every bullet but it’s in the music. I’m always going to talk about what’s going on and it’s 80% done. I’m trying to get it to the people.”(Photo: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)
Roc Nation - Yeezy and Jay Z are known to play together but the rumor mill has been circulating for a while that their significant others don’t really see eye-to-eye. Ye said that was the farthest from the truth, adding, “Nah. They love each other. They respect each other. When Beyoncé was working on her album, she had pictures of Kim on the wall because Kim represents powerful women. Kim be playing the '7-11' video for our daughter. Maybe it’s a LeBron James/ Kobe element to it.” (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images For BET)
Twin Towers - Just like Drake and Lil Wayne, Kanye and Jay Z are a dynamite duo but history could have been altered if things went another way. Kanye revealed, “The 'Wolves' song came from a conversation that me and Drake had that we was gone do an album together and the album is called Wolves. Then me and Jay started talking about Watch The Throne and Drake went and did all the records with Wayne, then the tour, and we never did.”We never know what the future holds though. (Photos from left: Larry Busacca/Getty Images for NARAS, Jason Merritt/Getty Images)
Hey Mama - Ye confirmed that his mother and grandmother were inspiration for “Only One” and that his mother named him Kanye which means "only one." It also inspired a game. “Right now I’m working on a video game for 'Only One' and the idea is it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We’ve been working on it for like six months.” (Photo: Frank Micelotta/Getty Images)
