The Replacements

Musicians who could ball in the NBA during the lockout.

The Replacements - Today (November 14) the NBA players rejected the latest offer from NBA owners. This move now brings the league closer to cancelling the 2011-12 season. But before David Stern and the owners get to that point we propose the idea of letting some of music's top all-stars fill the bill for the high-flying superstars who won't be able to take flight this season. Here are our favorite musicians who could lend some entertainment value to the league ballin’ on the court.

Bow Wow\r - Don't get it twisted, Like Mike wasn't just a movie. While Shad Moss may not have the magic moves of Calvin Cambridge on the court, he has shown in numerous celebrity games that he can ball. What up, Cavs?\r\r\r \r(Photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Cam'ron Snitching? - Cam'ron was one of the biggest proponents of the "Stop Snitching" movement (if you can call it that) a few years ago, once infamously insisting that he wouldn't even help police if a serial killer lived next door. But documents unearthed by — you guessed it — The Smoking Gun showed that he had talked to the cops after he was assaulted at a Harlem basketball game in 1999. (Photo: Scott Gries/Getty Images)

Cam'ron - The Harlem MC led his high school basketball team all the way to the state championship game as a sophomore, where he played at Madison Square Garden. The New York Knicks could use Cam’s hometown influence to attract their diehard fan base.  (Photo: Scott Gries/Getty Images)

Trey Songz - Any general manager looking to keep the female fan base interested would be wise to the sign the athletic song man. (Photo: Danny Moloshok/Landov)

Groupie Love - Drizzy can’t help that he loves sports and gets uber excited when he's rollin' with his athlete homies. The ambassador of the Toronto Raptors was the brunt of Twitter jokes after he was denied entry into the Miami Heat locker room during the 2013 NBA Finals. But after the sports buff congratulated the Kentucky Wildcats on their 2014 Final Four victory, Twitter went in with the sports groupie memes. (Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)

Drake\r - Drizzy famously played high school basketball star-turned-paraplegic Jimmy on TV show Degrassi before he got into the rap game. Owners should be wary about giving the injury-prone MC a long-term contract, though. A knee injury sustained during a pick-up game had him in a wheelchair in real life back in 2009.\r\r\r\r\r \r \r(Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)

Justin Bieber\r - The pint-sized singer took home the MVP hardware at last year's NBA All Star celebrity game. Ask Common's ankles, which the Beibs broke with a mean crossover, if you think the little man doesn't have moves. The Toronto Raptors would be wise to sign the Biebs and Drake to form a star-studded backcourt.\r \r \r \r(Photo: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

Driving Down the Lane (2007) - In 2007, Nelly once again showed up to the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and made heads turn. Here he is schooling Bow Wow on the court, years before he became a 106 host.  (Photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Hard In the Paint - Sporting red shorts and a white tank, which showed off his many tattoos, Chris Brown let off some steam playing ball at the West 4th courts in New York City.(Photo: INFphoto.com)

Chris Brown - If you've ever seen Breezy dance, there's no denying his natural athleticism. His strong resemblance to Lakers guard Shannon Brown would make it easy for Mitch Kupchak to replace the high-flyer without fans noticing a thing. (Photo: INFphoto.com)

Kanye West - During the recording process of last year's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, 'Ye hit the court daily to stay in shape and focus his creative process. He's no Derrick Rose, but we're sure the Bulls would be able to sell a few Yeezy jerseys to the Chi-town faithful. Plus ‘Ye already has his own sneaker deal.   (Photo: Kevin Perkins/PacificCoastNews.com)

The Evolution of Game - Happy birthday, Game. The Compton MC turned 32 today. With all his controversies and hardships, sometimes it didn't seem guaranteed he'd make it this far. But he more than made it—he excelled, with three acclaimed No. 1 albums (and a fourth No. 2), classic West Coast bangers and Grammy nominations. Click on to take a look back at Game's journey to the top.

Game - The Compton rapper has both the size and personality to be a superb rebounder. His long arms would snatch up everything that came near him and if his never ending one-sided beef with Jay-Z is any indication, he doesn't give up easy.  (Photo: Annette Brown/Getty Images)

Romeo - His dad, Master P, was once a serious prospect for the pros, so now might be the perfect time for Romeo to follow his own hoop dreams. He earned a scholarship from USC to play ball alongside NBA star Demar DeRozan. (Photo: Jeff Gross/Getty Images)

Stalley - The Maybach Music Group rapper played high school ball in Ohio against the likes of LeBron James. If a team were to pick him up, he would immediately replace Baron Davis as the player with the most recognizable beard in the league.

Snoop Dogg  \r - At this point in his career, Snoop would be most useful as an old crafty vet playing limited minutes. A natural scorer, the Doggfather is still capable of lighting it up off the bench.\r \r(Photo: REUTERS/Lucy Nicholson/Landov)

Ice Cube\r - A fierce competitor, Cube is the type of veteran presence a team needs in the locker room to keep the young guys in check. That’s right, check yo self or wreck yo self.\r \r(Photo: REUTERS/Lucy Nicholson/Landov)
