"New York State of Mind" - When it comes to reppin' her city to the fullest, Alicia Keys is always down to show her NYC pride. With all of her enthusiasm about NYC, it was only right that she collaborated with Jay-Z (arguable the king of NY) for the 2009 smash hit "New York State of Mind." "Put It in a Love Song" - This all-star meeting of the minds, which featured Alicia recruiting Beyoncé and hubby Swizzy, was slated to be the fourth single to her fourth album, The Element of Freedom — an expensive-sounding video was even shot in Brazil — but was pulled back last minute by the label. "Put It in a Love Song" - In this collaboration of epic proportions, Alicia Keys teamed up with Beyonce for "Put It in a Love Song." With a simple beat, powerhouse vocals and an amazing feel, this song was the hit that never was. The duo recorded a music video for the song in Brazil, but unfortunately the visual never met the light of day. Maybe one day they'll unleash it from their secret vault... we hope. "Girl on Fire" (Remix) - When it comes to Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire," you just can't escape it. From having Gabby Douglas flip around to it at the 2012 VMAs, to performing it at NBA All-Star weekend, the song is infectious and fans love it. Since the theme is clearly female empowerment, it was only right that Alicia enlisted rap's number one diva Nicki Minaj for the inferno remix. We'll be singing this tune straight into 2014. "Fire We Make," feat. Maxwell - More fire-starting, but here the titular girl catches a spark from her collaborator, R&B recluse Maxwell, whose stratospheric falsetto hasn't aged a day. Lifted by his incredible performance, an unexpected horn section and searing guitar work from blues prodigy Gary Clark Jr., the song is smoky and sexy, rather than just another quiet-storm snoozer, which all too often have dragged down Alicia's albums.
