Wesley Snipes (Nino Brown) - Playing a drug kingpin is no easy task, but Wesley Snipes took on the challenge and delivered. Since his starring role in New Jack City, Snipes's career took off. Ice T (Scotty Appleton) - After starring as undercover detective Scotty Appleton, who had it out for Nino Brown in the film, Ice T went on to take his cop prowess to other roles, starring in New York Undercover, Players and Law & Order: SVU." Allen Payne (Gee Money) - Playing Nino Brown's right-hand man had to be tough, especiailly seeing as he didn't make it to the end of the film alive. Needless to say, Allen Payne's career took the opposite direction as he had a pretty affluent career after the film. He went on to star in The Cosby Show, Jason's Lyric and A Vampire in Brooklyn. Chris Rock (Pookie) - Before making it big in the acting world, Chris Rock played a former crackhead in New Jack City. Following the film, his career took off. He went on to star in several high profile projects, including Saturday Night Live, Nurse Betty, Down to Earth and, of course, Everybody Hates Chris. Judd Nelson (Nick Peretti) - Nelson played Detective Nick Peretti in the film and continued to act as the '90s continued. After starring in Suddenly Susan soon after, he did voice work for the animated kids show Ben 10: Universe and also starred in the action series Nikita. Bill Nunn (Duh Duh Duh Man) - Nunn took a different route, playing the stuttering CMB enforcer in the film.
