She’s an Advocate - After her son was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, a hereditary blood disorder that alters the shape of blood cells and their oxygen-carrying capacity, she’s worked to raise awareness about the disease. She is an ambassador for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
