Whoopi Goldberg - Money can buy you flood insurance, but Hurricane Sandy left Manhattan in such a disarray that even celebrities are having trouble getting their homes back to normal. When asked bout how she's coping with the storm, Whoopi Goldberg said frankly, "I'm just trying to get my sh*t rebuilt." She even bonded with a paparazzo when finding out the shutterbug's car had been totalled in the storm. Natural disasters make for strange bedfellows! Jay-Z and Beyoncé - Jay and Bey have been proud residents of lower Manhattan for years. While they managed to escape to the safe haven of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, they didn't forget about their Hudson Street neighbors, who lost power and hot water during the storm. Jay-Z bought a generator for those in his building who didn't get to run uptown, earning the title of "guardian angel" of Sandy. (Photo: WENN.com)

Tiger Woods - Woods's Hudson Street bachelor pad is just four blocks from the river and extremely vulnerable to flooding, power outages and storm damage. While his home and neighborhood may have suffered damage, at least his place of business — the Pittsford, New York golf course that is the site of the 2013 PGA tour — was left unscathed. Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz - SoHo residents Alicia and Swizz thankfully had a place to go when Sandy claimed their water and power. "My mother's place didn't lose power so we were able to take shelter with her,” Keys said, adding that trying to entertain their toddler Egypt without electricity was "interesting." Keys also had to postpone her annual Black Ball due to the storm.

Tyra Banks - The supermodel and mogul's pad is on the edge of Battery Park City, one of the areas hardest hit by the storm. While Banks was able to escape to a place where she could plug in her hair dryer, she tweeted support to her neighbors. "Stay strong...it WILL get better," she said. Russell Simmons - While the Def Jam mogul and Battery Park resident was fortunate enough to take shelter in Los Angeles during the superstorm (which also ravaged his Hamptons property), he did point out a sobering reality about the homeless of NYC: "They're f*****," Simmons said bluntly.
