Jamaal Charles Signs New Deal - Well, that was quick. On the same day reports surfaced that Jamaal Charles would be holding out, the Kansas City Chiefs re-signed their star running back to a new deal Wednesday. Charles’s new extension raises his pay from $3.9 million to $8.3 million in 2014 and includes $18.1 million in new money, making him the highest-paid NFL running back only second to Adrian Peterson. Charles sarcastically tweeted: “I had no intention on holding out...I just ran out of gas on the way to camp and my cell phone battery died. It was a long walk I tell ya.” (Photo: Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images)Nick Foles - "Greatness on the Road” Award Quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles(Photo: Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images)
