Michelle Pfieffer - As retired U.S. Marine turned teacher of the year LouAnne Johnson, Pfieffer earned reviews far better than the film itself. The actress, who earned two MTV Movie Award nominations for the role, was already an A-list star before Dangerous Minds and continued to enjoy mainstream success afterward with leading roles in films like What Lies Beneath and One Fine Day. She currently has two projects in post-production: the TV movie The Wizard of Lies and Beat-Up Little Seagull. (Photo: Hollywood Pictures)

Courtney B. Vance - A graduate of Harvard University and Yale School of Drama, Angela Bassett's hubby was one of the foremost Black actors in Hollywood when he signed on for Dangerous Minds. After an acclaimed performance as the school principal, Vance hasn't slowed down a bit. Vance's career spans film, television and Broadway. He starred on Law & Order for six seasons, in acclaimed films like Hurricane Season and Cookie's Fortune and earned a Tony for his stage performance in 2013's Lucky Guy. Most recently, he received major praise for his performance as Johnnie Cochran in the TV Series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and has three movies set to premiere in the coming months: Office Christmas Party, Civil and The Mummy.(Photo: Hollywood Pictures)

Bruklin Harris - Harris played Callie Roberts, a gifted student whose future was compromised by an unplanned pregnancy. The actress seemed to have a promising career ahead of her in the 1990s, with stand-out roles in films like Juice and A Map of the World, but disappeared from the scene by the early 2000s.
