A look back on the stars of this box office hit.

Michelle Pfieffer starred in this film about an ex-Marine who teaches a predominantly Black and Latino class of high schoolers and shows them their true potential. Here's a look at where the key players from the film are today.(Photo: Hollywood Pictures)

Michelle Pfieffer - As retired U.S. Marine turned teacher of the year LouAnne Johnson, Pfieffer earned reviews far better than the film itself. The actress, who earned two MTV Movie Award nominations for the role, was already an A-list star before Dangerous Minds and continued to enjoy mainstream success afterward with leading roles in films like What Lies Beneath and One Fine Day. She currently has two projects in post-production: the TV movie The Wizard of Lies and Beat-Up Little Seagull. (Photo: Hollywood Pictures)

Coolio (Soundtrack: "Gangsta's Paradise") - Without a doubt, the most memorable thing about Dangerous Minds is Coolio's custom-made soundtrack single "Gangsta's Paradise." The song became one of the most successful rap records of all time and earned Coolio his first Grammy Award. Unfortunately, "Gangsta's Paradise" would be the peak of the rapper's career. His subsequent studio albums failed to exceed the success of his early career, despite achieving platinum status one more time with 1997's My Soul. Still, as a rapper, reality star (Celebrity Big Brother, Wife Swap) and actor (Hustler Vegas, Black Jesus, etc.) Coolio remains a part of American pop culture. (Photo: PA PHOTOS /LANDOV)
