Obama as a Monkey, Again? - A California Republican official distributed an email last week depicting President Obama’s face imposed on a chimpanzee, with the caption “Now you know why—no birth certificate.” Marilyn Davenport, an elected Orange County Republican Party official, issued a defensive apology afterwards, adding that she never considered the president’s race when forwarding the email. “We all know a double standard applies regarding this president. I received plenty of emails about George Bush that I didn’t particularly like, yet there was no ‘cry’ in the media about them,” she wrote in an email defending her actions. The OC GOP chairman has called for her to issue a real apology and step down, but she has refused to do so. (Photo: Orange County Republicans and Tea Baggers/blogs.ocweekly.com)
