All-Black "Vagina Monologues" - Along with Ella Joyce (“Roc”), Wendy Raquel Robinson (“The Game”) and Vanessa Bell Calloway (“What’s Love Got to Do With It”), Mo’Nique starred in the first all-black celebrity cast of the popular stage play, “Vagina Monologues.” It was also the first play for Mo’Nique as she took a small break from filming “The Parkers.”

Mo'Nique Gets Oscar Nod - Comedian, actress and talk show host, Mo’Nique has added another title to her growing list: Oscar nominee. She earned the honor for her portrayal of Mary Jones in “Precious.” After winning Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice awards, many feel the Best Supporting Actress trophy is hers for the taking. The nominations were announced Tuesday, and sidekick Rodney Perry and the “Mo’Nique Show” audience congratulated her on Wednesday night’s show on BET.
