The Parkers - Spinning off from the hit series, “Moesha,” “The Parkers” debuted in 1999. Mo’Nique starred as Nikki Parker, a woman who dropped out of school due to an unplanned pregnancy. When her dim-witted daughter Kim grows up and starts college, Nikki decides to follow her, maintaining classes, chasing Prof. Oglevee, and shouting “Heeyyy!” for five seasons.

Queens Of Comedy - Not to be outdone by the guys of “The Original Kings of Comedy,” Mo’Nique, Laura Hayes, Adele Givens and Sommore crowned themselves when they filmed “The Queens of Comedy.” Mo’Nique entertained with her celebration of big women and love advice, while footage showed just how much fun the ladies had around town. Eight years later, the cast reunited on “The Mo’Nique Show.”

"Mo’Nique’s Fat Chance" - Mo’Nique hosted three seasons of the reality series featuring 10 women competing in a beauty pageant to become Miss “F.A.T.” (Fabulous and Thick). Apollo Host - Following in the tradition of a long line of comedians, Mo’Nique hosted “Showtime at the Apollo,” adding her own flavor. Mo’Nique had no problem joining the audience in shouting “Womp, Womp” as the Sandman danced eliminated amateur performers off the stage. The audience then joined Mo’Nique on stage to close out the show with “The Electric Slide.”

"Skinny Women Are Evil" Book - In addition to being an accomplished actress and comedienne, Mo’Nique can add bestselling author to her resume. She released the successful book, “Skinny Women Are Evil: Notes of a Big Girl in a Small-Minded World,” and followed it up in 2006 with a cookbook called “Skinny Cooks Can't Be Trusted.”

Mo'Nique Gets Oscar Nod - Comedian, actress and talk show host, Mo’Nique has added another title to her growing list: Oscar nominee. She earned the honor for her portrayal of Mary Jones in “Precious.” After winning Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice awards, many feel the Best Supporting Actress trophy is hers for the taking. The nominations were announced Tuesday, and sidekick Rodney Perry and the “Mo’Nique Show” audience congratulated her on Wednesday night’s show on BET.

Oscar Nomination & Win - Before the movie “Precious” was even released, the buzz for Mo’Nique’s performance as horrible mother Mary had already ignited. After a slew of accolades for her role, including awards from the Sundance Film Festival, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild, there was no doubt that Mo’Nique would be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. At the 82nd annual awards show, Mo'Nique accepted her Oscar to a standing Ovation.
