Top 10 Producers of the 21st Century

BET.com takes a look at the Top 10 producers of the 21st century.

Just Blaze - Just's sure come a long way since producing beats for two-way pagers. Being part of Jay-Z's in-house production crew quickly got him noticed by the game's biggest stars in the early 2000s. In addition to his longstanding working relationship with Hov, Just has crafted smash hits for T.I., Busta Rhymes and even Kanye West.
The Neptunes - Pharrell and Chad were named in a lawsuit against defunct pop group NSync. Songwriter Ben Freeman Jr. contends the group’s 2001 hit “Girlfriend" borrows from his old group TRB’s 1995 song, “Be My Girlfriend.”
Polow Da Don - Polow should have been producing all along. After producing two lukewarm projects as part of Jim Crow, the ATL-ien reinvented himself behind the boards. Soon enough he was producing smash hits for Ludacris, 50 Cent, Nelly and even pop stars like Fergie.
Jazze Pha - Jazze Pha's one of the few producers to walk the fine line between hip-hop and R&B, but some of his most memorable work has been with rap stars. For the past decade, he's been placing beats for artists like Rick Ross, T.I. and has even done tracks for The Notorious B.I.G's posthumous work.Jim Jonsin - Jim Jonsin swings for the fences. While producers try to make hits, Jonsin’ been hitting homeruns like Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop,” T.I.’s “Whatever U Like” and Soulja Boy’s “Kiss Me Thru the Phone.” His success has caught the ear of R&B and pop stars, but the veteran stays firmly rooted in hip-hop. Some of his recent contributions include Nelly’s chart-climbing “Just a Dream” and Gucci Mane’s “Grown Man.”
