Rap Videos That Address Police Brutality

Scarface releases visuals for "Steer."

Jasiri X – 'Jordan Miles' - Jasiri X has been spitting about racial injustices for a minute while others chose to turn a blind eye and turn up. One of his gems released in 2011, called "Jordan Miles," told the true story of how Pittsburgh police tried to lynch an 18-year-old Black man. The footage includes pictures of the officers as well as Miles badly beaten body after the assault and a re-enactment of the attack.(Photo: Jasiri X via Youtube)
Ice Cube – 'Wicked' - Ice Cube has written several classic rhymes bringing light to police brutality but most have not had visual clips to document this madness. With the L.A. Riots fresh in the minds of the people in 1992, Cube made that one of the main points of discussion on his Predator album. The video for "Wicked" included scenes from riots throughout history and showed clips of racist cops who were the causes of many of those lit matches.(Photo: EMI Music)
Chamillionaire Featuring Krayzie Bone – 'Ridin'' - Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone scored a No. 1 hit on Billboard with their racial profiling anthem "Ridin'." In the visual, The Texas MC is pulled over for DWB while he and the Bone spitter try to evade cops who wrongfully think they are up to something. (Photo: Universal Records)
Killer Mike – 'Pressure' - Killer Mike and Ice Cube led the Black Revolutionary charge when they dropped facts with "Pressure" and addressed America's treatment of Black people over the years and how overseers transitioned into some police forces through time. The high powered video includes clips of police officers terrorizing Black people during the civil rights era and before, as well as modern day whippings like the Rodney King beating.(Photo: Grind Time Official)Public Enemy – 'Can't Truss It' - Public Enemy brought the noise with "Can't Truss It" in 1991 as they documented America's history of violence against African-Americans with their visual. Chuck, Flav and crew end the empowering clip with a re-enactment of Rodney King getting beat by a goon squad of pigs.(Photo: Island Def Jam Music Group)
