Rap Videos That Address Police Brutality

Scarface releases visuals for "Steer."

Joey Bada$ – 'Like Me' - Joey Bada$ uses his new video "Like Me" to bring attention to police brutality and young Black men being murdered across the country while surrendering and putting their hands up after being stalked for no reason. In the clip, the Pro Era MC catches a slug in the back from NY's finest, who seem to have never read the memo that #BlackLivesMatter. (Photo: Cinematic Music Group, Pro Era)
KRS-One – 'Sound of da Police' - KRS-One put the police on blast for their overseeing ways back in 1993. Mixing in clips of police abusing their power over the years, he pointed out that cops treat Blacks like they are slaves on a plantation across the country and used footage of them hosing African-Americans during the fight for civil rights to drive home the point.(Photo: Jive Records)
G-Unit – 'Ahhh S**t' - Young Buck and Kidd Kidd led the G-Unit revolt when they paid tribute to Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, and Michael Brown while riding out on the boys in blue for their clandestine acts. The clip shows visuals of police across the country abusing their power and the footage of Garner's murder.(Photo: G-Unit Records)
Jasiri X – 'Jordan Miles' - Jasiri X has been spitting about racial injustices for a minute while others chose to turn a blind eye and turn up. One of his gems released in 2011, called "Jordan Miles," told the true story of how Pittsburgh police tried to lynch an 18-year-old Black man. The footage includes pictures of the officers as well as Miles badly beaten body after the assault and a re-enactment of the attack.(Photo: Jasiri X via Youtube)Ice Cube – 'Wicked' - Ice Cube has written several classic rhymes bringing light to police brutality but most have not had visual clips to document this madness. With the L.A. Riots fresh in the minds of the people in 1992, Cube made that one of the main points of discussion on his Predator album. The video for "Wicked" included scenes from riots throughout history and showed clips of racist cops who were the causes of many of those lit matches.(Photo: EMI Music)
