Carmelo Anthony to Shut Down Season - There's a great chance that the All-Star Game at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Sunday Night will be Carmelo Anthony's final game of the season. The New York Knicks' superstar spoke with ESPN Radio about shutting it down for the season after Sunday night to have his left knee, which has been sore all season, operated on and be back in time for the 2015-16 training camp. "It's very likely. It's very likely. Now I've got to start thinking about the future," Anthony said. "This season is this season. So I really want to just sit down with my team and sit down with the proper people to just kind of plan this thing out and see exactly what I have to do to get done and just to fix it." Chicago Mayor Fails Getting Little League Title Back to Jackie Robinson West - Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel asked Little League International to return the stripped U.S. title back to Jackie Robinson West, arguing that the decision was unfair to the young players on the team. But the little league organization is standing by its early Wednesday ruling. ESPN is reporting that the organization's CEO Stephen D. Keener told Emanuel that the charter committee's decision was final, as hard of a decision as it was to make. George Karl Becomes Kings Head Coach - Veteran coach George Karl reached an agreement Thursday to become the next head coach of the Sacramento Kings. Sources tell ESPN that the deal will be in the neighborhood of four years and $15 million. Karl is sixth all-time in wins (1,131) amongst NBA coaches and received the league's Coach of the Year for his 2012-13 season with the Denver Nuggets.
