People Are Roasting Amar'e Stoudemire for Saying He Would 'Shower Across the Street' to Avoid a Gay Teammate
Amar'e Stoudemire would go to extreme lengths to avoid a teammate if he found out that player is gay.
That was the overwhelming sentiment that the former NBA All-Star and current Hapoel Jerusalem forward in the Israel Premier League made sure to deliver while speaking with Israeli website Walla Sport.
"I'm going to shower across the street, make sure my change of clothes are around the corner," Stoudemire said during an interview with the site. "And I'm going to drive — take a different route to the gym."
When the website asked if Stat was joking, he said, "I mean, there's always a truth within a joke."
This is the second time that Stoudemire has been associated with homophobic comments, considering he was fined $50,000 during the 2012 offseason for tweeting a gay slur at a Twitter user — something he later apologized for.
Needless to say, Stat's latest comments have put him in the crosshairs of Twitter, as people have been dragging him to hell and back, calling him a homophobe and much more. Take a look at all the roasting Stat walked into for his statements.

Amar'e Couldn't Have Thought Those Comments Through, Right?
It's like he didn't think his comments in Israel were going to make it back to the U.S. via the internet. SMH.
