LeBron James to Michael Jordan: I Would Beat You 1-on-1
Even Michael Jordan would bow down to King James.
When learning about Jordan saying he would defeat LeBron James in his prime over the weekend, King James returned the favor Friday morning, saying he would beat MJ one-on-one.
"Oh, I take myself," James said in a Today interview. "For sure. I mean, I'm gonna take myself versus anybody. I'll tell you one thing — they're gonna have to have a few wheelchairs and a couple ambulances there to get us off the floor."
This was in response to Jordan commenting "no question" at his 20th annual Michael Jordan Flight School camp in Santa Barbara, California, last Saturday, when asked if he could defeat James.
While it's all hypothetical and a fun debate for basketball fans to have, James did say that he has successfully accomplished every one of his NBA goals and is just looking to "add to it" at this point. There's nothing he'd like to add to more than delivering Cleveland its first major sports championship since 1964 via the Cavaliers clinching the league title in 2016.
During the Today interview, James also mentioned hoping to become Jordan's successor in a possible Space Jam 2 movie.
“We hope so," he said about the prospect of starring in the sequel to the original, which featured Jordan in 1996. "We’re definitely missing Bugs and Daffy and Tasmanian Devil and every last one of them, so hopefully we can do some great things.”
