Third Man Arrested in Aaron Hernandez’s Murder Case
Ernest Wallace is the third suspect to be arrested in connection to Aaron Hernandez’s alleged murder of Odin Lloyd.
Wallace is charged with acting as an accessory in the murder of Lloyd and has been arrested in Miramar, Florida, Massachusetts police said. The officers also recovered a car connected to Wallace.
Hernandez, 23, is charged with first degree murder in the death of Lloyd in North Attleborough, Massachusetts, and has pleaded not guilty. The second man arrested connected to Lloyd’s murder was Carlos Ortiz, 27.
Lloyd, a semi-pro football player for the Boston Bandits, was found shot dead in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez’s Massachusetts home on June 17. The two had known each other for about a year.
The family of Lloyd said that he was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancé, and that the two were together the night Lloyd was killed. According to an ESPN report, the two friends had a dispute after visiting a nightclub. Authorities say Lloyd was shot multiple times in the back and chest.
If convicted, Hernandez could face life in prison.
