Don Lemon used his CNN platform on Sunday night (May 3) to make a powerful statement about Donald Trump’s nasty pettiness over his predecessor President Barack Obama. 

After Trump retweeted yet another conspiracy theory about Obama, which read, “Evidence has surfaced that indicates Barack Obama was the one running the Russian hoax,” Lemon described his actions as “a new low from a president who goes low all the time.” Trump also slammed former President George W. Bush, who offered a message urging unity among Americans, for not standing by him during the impeachment trial.

In a now-viral clip, Lemon stared down the camera and addressed Trump directly.

“What is it about President Obama that really gets under your skin? Is it because he’s smarter than you? Better educated? Made it on his own—didn’t need Daddy’s help? Wife is more accomplished? Better looking? I don’t know, what is it, what is it about him? That he’s a Black man that’s accomplished being president? That he punked you on the whole birth certificate thing? What is it about him? Just wondering.”
