A white St. Petersburg, Florida woman was caught on video, hurling racial slurs at a Black teenager after he dropped a gum wrapper on the ground.

On Sunday, October 6, the racist woman, who has since been dubbed,“Pick It Up Patty,” verbally attacked 14-year-old, Barry Henry, for littering.

The Washington Examiner reports Henry was with his grandmother and cousin when he threw a gum wrapper in the grass. His grandmother quickly corrected him, but was interrupted by the racist woman’s rant.

The woman, who has not been identified, demanded that the teenager find the gum wrapper that he dropped.

“Don’t even act like that. Pick it up. Find it. Get down on your knees and find it. Get down on your knees and find it!”

Her irate rant continued, calling Henry the N-word when he turned to walk away. 

“Don’t care little n*gg*r,” the woman spewed. “That’s how you are. All y’all... no care f*ck*ng n*gg*r.”

She then screamed how she did not care that she was being filmed, “Film me, f*ck*r! Film me!”

Henry, alongside his family, ignored the woman by refusing to interact with her. He spoke with WTSP on how alarmed he was at the verbal assault, expressing how he thought,“she was going to attack us.”

“I never thought that somebody would say that because it’s 2019," Henry said. "Who would say anything like that?”

Deysha Adriana, the sister of Henry, said, “[There is] Actual footage of a woman talking to my 14-year-old brother and cousin in this manner, near Williams Park in St. Pete today, because he dropped a gum wrapper on the ground, he was going to pick it up until she started calling him out of his name.” She added, “Almost 2020 and we still are dealing with being spoken to in this manner over what exactly? A gum wrapper. Tasteless. 🙄.”

The Grio reports, Steve Kornell, St. Petersburg council member, shared his disgust on Facebook with the woman’s racist tirade, posting how the woman should “be absolutely ashamed of herself… there is no excuse… NONE.”

“If anyone knows this young man,I would love to honor him at this week’s City Council meeting for this extreme politeness towards this woman, who did not deserve it,at all,” Kornell offered. “It says a great deal about him and about her.” 

The Facebook video has quickly gone viral, with over 230,000 views as of Wednesday, October 9. It’s only a matter of time before the woman is exposed.
