Trump Slammed for Taking Three Days to Condemn White Supremacy After Public Pressure
UPDATE:
After nearly three full days of silence from President Trump when it comes to condemning the white supremacists and neo-Nazis who participated in the Saturday rally in Charlottesville, the president has finally delivered a speech denouncing the terrible acts.

Donald Trump finally responded to the tragic attack on innocent protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia just moments ago.
Both via Tweets and in an address to the media, the president condemned hate “on many sides” in response to violent white nationalist protests and a terrorist attack which involved a vehicle plowing through a group of anti-hate protesters, killing one and injuring 19 in the city’s downtown area.
"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides," Trump said in a brief statement at his private golf club in New Jersey. "It has been going on for a long time in our country — not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. It has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America."
Trump also called for a “study” of the “situation,” even though pretty much anyone with a brain knows why what happened did (aka racism). Also, the “on many sides” comment rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, as if to say that the white racist protesters have ever experienced any type of oppression from anyone.
In a tweets sent out between 1 and 2 p.m. EDT, Donald Trump called the events in Charlottesville “sad” and said “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!”
The internet was largely unhappy about the dancing act the president made in his remarks and the refusal to address the root of why the attack happened explicitly. Check out Donald Trump’s reaction to the events in Charlottesville as well as social media’s reaction to that below.
