August Alsina’s big career moment came when he dropped his Def Jam debut Testimony last year. It propelled him to a young rising talent who's capable of making hit records like “I Luv This S**t,” “Ghetto” and his most recent heater, “Why I Do It” with Lil Wayne.

Over the weekend, the New Orleans crooner shared details about his sophomore album, mainly that it will be called This Thing Called Life. He played some of the project for DJ Khaled, who loved what he heard and gave the budding artist some advice.
