Suge Knight Victim: I'm Not Snitching
Has Suge Knight found an ally in the man he’s accused of running over? It sure sounds like it, based on testimony from victim Cle “Bone” Sloan at Knight’s hearing this morning.
Sloan was injured in late January after Knight mowed him down along with Terry Carter, who died from the incident. He was called to the stand today, billed as a “star witness” for the prosecution, according to L.A.'s ABC 7 News. However, Sloan didn’t want to incriminate Knight, reportedly stating that he doesn’t want to be “used” to send the Death Row Records co-founder to prison. “Every day I tried to forget it,” he said. “I screwed up and Terry’s dead.”
Matthew Fletcher, Knight’s attorney, questioned Sloan about being the aggressor. At one point he made clear that Knight didn’t attack Sloan “in any form, fashion or manner” and Sloan agreed.
Knight, 49, is charged with hit-and-run, attempted murder, and murder. Sloan was hospitalized for several weeks after the fact, but noted that he only came to court this morning because he was subpoenaed. He also denied being enraged with Knight, as authorities have said.
