Report: Lil Wayne Sues Cash Money for $51 Million

Weezy wants a multi-million-dollar advance and part ownership of all Young Money recordings.

Lil Wayne is serious about getting the money he’s allegedly owed.

According to TMZ, Weezy filed a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records.

The 32-year-old rapper wants a legal intervention to dissolve his contract with the label. He claims Cash Money owes him a multi-million-dollar advance, and violated the terms of his record deal by withholding Tha Carter V release.

Wayne was promised an $8 million paycheck when he started making Tha Carter V back in 2013, plus an additional $2 million upon its completion, the lawsuit states.

In addition, Weezy is asking to split copyright ownership of all Young Money recordings, including catalogs from Drake and Nicki Minaj.
