Benzino was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport last night (Jan. 27) for trying to carry a loaded gun onto an airplane, TMZ reports. 

The reality star was headed to Los Angeles, but his carry-on bag was flagged after he put it through security. A TSA employee recovered a 9mm from the bag, and seven rounds of ammunition.

Benzino, whose birth name is Raymond Scott, was arrested and released on $3,000 bail.

He commented about the arrest on Instagram this morning. “People make mistakes,” wrote the Boston native. “That's why they had to change the law to make it more lenient for people because it happens so much, so don't be fooled by the hype of the blogs, it happened to the vice pres of IBM but you never heard of that lmao!! I can't be DEMONIZED cause I walk with GOD.”
