On the Run Will Be Second Top Earning Tour of All Time
Jay Z and Beyoncé's On the Run Tour is coming soon, and already Forbes is projecting music’s official power couple to break yet another record.
With less than a week to go until the couple's first joint tour opening show at Miami's SunLife Stadium, ticket sales have already reached close to the $100 million mark with almost one million tickets sold.
On that path, Jayoncé's stadium tour is expected to be the second most successful tour of all time based on gross revenue per show.
The Carters, who could potentially earn a whopping $5,000,000 per show in 20 dates, would fall in line behind U2. The Irish band grossed $736 million across 110 dates or $6,694,000 per show on their 360 tour, which ran from 2009 to 2011.
The No. 2 spot will catapult Queen Bey's concert revenue over the past year to around $200 million, as she brought home a cool $100 million with her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
Hov wasn't playing when he rapped on "Encore," "I came, I saw, I conquered ... from record sales to sold out concerts."
The On the Run Tour kicks-off on June 25 and will also hit cities in France, Georgia and the New York City Tri-State area.
