Rick Ross Locks in New Mastermind Release Date
It took him a little while to lock things down, but Rick Ross has officially landed on a new date for Mastermind.
The 37-year-old's sixth studio album is set for March 4, Ross announced via a Revolt TV video teaser unveiled Tuesday (Jan. 14).
Clouds roll in as the Hype Williams-directed clip progresses to shots of money followed by the album's drop date. The 47-second visual ends with Rozay's Maybach Music Group logo and a quick plug to cop his Jay Z-assisted single, "The Devil Is a Lie."
Besides teaming with Diddy's new network for the announcement, Ross tapped the entertainment mogul to put final touches on the album, tweeting last week, "Sitting at the SSL board #Mastermind on repeat…album mixed by Sean Diddy Combs."
Mastermind was originally slated for Dec. 17, following the 37-year-old's tour promoting the LP. By early December, Ross said he was still "putting the finishing touches" on the project. "To me, making that classic is more important than anything," the Bawse said in an interview. "Making sure that the streets are overwhelmed with what I am doing is most important."
