LL Cool J, N.W.A Nominated for Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame
Rap vets from Compton and Queens are in line to be honored at next year's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in Cleveland. For the second year in a row, LL Cool J and N.W.A land on the list of potential inductees, featuring a diverse mix of 16 acts, including KISS, Peter Gabriel and Nirvana.
"This year's nominees represent the broad definition of 'rock 'n' roll' and include an array of artists whose fans are deeply passionate about the possibility of induction," said Joel Perseman, CEO of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.
Music afficionados, comprised of past winners, critics, journalists and others, will vote on the nominees alongside fans. The public's participation will be tallied as a special "fan ballot" to narrow down the final list, which will be announced "soon" according to the organization's website.
Fans have until Dec. 10 to place their votes via rockhall.com/vote.
